Information: Mrs. Elva Battrell Casto, 78, wife of O. H. Casto, died at the family home on First Avenue in Ripley on Sunday after a long illness.  The funeral service was held Tuesday at the Mt. Olive EUB Church at Rockcastle and burial was in the church cemetery.  Rev. Roy McCoy officiated at the service which was arranged by the Parsons funeral directors.  She was born in Mason County Sept. 15, 1887, a daughter of J. A. and Rosa Morgan Battrell.  She was a member of the Long Hollow Baptist Church. She is survived by the husband and four sons, Milford and Bernard of Dunbar, Dale of South Charleston, and Arthur of St. Albans; three daughters, Mildred Parsons of Given, Ardella Casto of Nitro and Marie Casto at home; two sisters, Lucy Barr of Ripley and Sylvia Hill of Charleston and 11 grandchildren.
