Information:      Earl Clinton ""Hick"" Casto, 87, of Ripley, passed away June 8, 3016 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness.  He was born May 11, 1929 at Belgrove, a son of the late Roscoe and Freda Faber Casto.  Hick owned and operated the Ashland Service Station in Ripley, and later started working at Kaiser Aluminum.  He retired from Ravenswood Aluminum with over 26 years of service.  He was a Christian by faith. He is survived by his wife of 62 years and 10 months, Imogene Walker Casto; his children, Teresa Thorpe and her husband, Duane, of Dayton, Ohio, Michael Casto of Columbia, S.C., and Lisa Stephens and her husband, Kevin, of Waxhaw, N.C.; grandchildren, Sarah Thorpe, Brian Thorpe, Zackary Walker Casto and Kerra Stephens;  sisters, Edna Kelly, Eleanor Clay, Reda Daniels and her husband, Oshel, and Wanda McClung and her husband, Joe;and two sisters-in-law, Sue Casto and Joyce Casto.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold Casto, Edward Casto and Roland Casto, and sisters, Imogene Casto and Ravena Duffield.  Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday,June 12, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with John Gunther and Joe McClung officiating.  Burial with military graveside rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck.
