Information: David A. Casto, 68 years old, died at his home near Guthrie last Thursday afternoon, June 4, 1936, and the body was taken to a Charleston mortuary and prepared for burial. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the John R. Casto cemetery, near Kenna, with Undertaker Edwin Parsons in charge and burial was in the cemetery there. Mr. Casto for many years was a resident of the Belgrove community and was a member of the Falling Water United Brethren church there. He is survived by the widow, four daughters, Mrs. Goldie McConnell, of Medina, Ohio; Mrs. Ercel Hatcher, of Guthrie; Mrs. Eva DeWees, of South Charleston; and Mrs. Hessie McKemy, of Ripley; two sons, Escridge [Eldridge?] Casto, of Akron, Ohio, and Ford Casto, of Guthrie; two brothers, Perry Casto, of Witcher's Creek, and Joseph Casto, of Philo, Ohio. He was well known in Ripley and his many friends throughout this section had not learned of his illness and were shocked Thursday evening when news came of his death.
