Information: Carroll W. Casto, 70, of Point Pleasant, died Dec. 9, 1995 at home after a long illness.  He was a native of Ripley, a graduate of Ripley High School and West Virginia University, where he earned his doctorate in 1948.  He was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, American Trial Lawyers Association, Loyal Order of Moose No. 731, Junior Order United American Mechanics, Mountain Lodge of West Virginia, Pat Wilson Shrine Club, Beni Kedam Shrine, Minturn Lodge No. 19 and board of trustees of Pleasant Valley Hospital  He was past president of Fourth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Mason County Bar Association, Rotary Club and Mason County Little Men's League.  He began practicing law in Point Pleasant in 1948, served as city attorney for 41 years, served two terms in the state Legislature and was national committeeman of the Young Republicans Club of West Virginia in 1959.  He was a charter member of American Academy of Hospital Attorneys, chairman of the Centennial Medallion Committee and 43-year member of Christ Episcopal Church, Point Pleasant, where he was a trustee, formerly a vestryman, junior warden, senior warden, lay reader, choir director and treasurer.  Surviving:  wife, Marilyn S. “Terry” Jones Casto; sons, Barry L. and Gregg D., both of Point Pleasant; six grandchildren.  Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. James Bernacki officiating.  Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at the church.  Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Altar Guild Memorial Fund, Endowment Fund or Christ Academy, all at 804 Main St., Point Pleasant, W. Va. 25550.
