Information: Anderson, Reuben R.      With his wife running towards him and screaming for help, a former Ripley man leaped to his death from the Parkersburg-Belpre bridge into the swollen waters of the Ohio River shortly before noon Friday. After seven hours of laborious dragnet work under a boiling late June afternoon sun, the body of Reuben R. Anderson, 25, who resided in Ripley until 1941 when he moved to Belpre, was removed from the swift waters of the Ohio after a noon-time suicide leap from the bridge while many looked on without being able to get close enough to stop the fatal leap. The victim was residing in Belpre with bis parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert A. Anderson, who told investigating officers that their son had suffered a head injury while in the military service during World War II and occasionally had ""spells"" after his return home. The wife of the victim was also quoted by investigating authorities as saying Anderson threatened to go to the bridge and jump off while they were together in Parkersburg Friday morning.      Born at Ripley, the son of Albert and Mollie E. Anderson, the victim resided in Ripley until he moved to Belpre in 1941.  He was employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad as a baggage checker in Parkersburg. Surviving in addition to his wife, Sarah L. Anderson and his parents, are one son, Roscoe Arthur, five months old, three half-brothers, Charles H. Anderson of Ripley, Arthur B. Anderson of Charleston, and Floyd Owens Bailey of Belpre, and two half-sisters, Hazel Marie Wilson of Little Hocking, Ohio and Anna Anderson of Akron, Ohio. Funeral and burial services were held in Belpre on Monday afternoon.
