Information: Basil Cecil Casto, 82, of Fairplain, died Jan. 10, 1991 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Edgar and Tennie Mae Casto.  He was a retired construction worker and a former employee of the Ripley Water Department.  He is survived by two sons, William E. Casto of Belpre and Marvin C. Casto of Sandyville; one daughter, Betty Ellis of Ripley; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie Casto in 1988. Services were held Saturday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Allen Stewart officiating. Burial was in Fairplain Cemetery.
