Information: Levi Carter, 81-year-old Millwood resident, died at a Spencer hospital on Monday where he had been a patient for some time.  He was born at Millwood on May 25, 1876 and spent his entire life in that section of the county.  He was a son of John and Elizabeth Carter, pioneer residents of that section of the county.  Survivors include three brothers, John, Okey and William Carter, all of Millwood.  The funeral service was held from the Vail funeral home in Ripley on Wednesday afternoon and the burial was in the Douglas cemetery at Ripley Landing.
