  <p>Information: Ripley native Edwin Clifford Carson, 66, died Wednesday in Elgin, Ill., while attending a national farmers meeting.  Death was attributed to a heart attack.  Carson resided in West Columbia, Mason County.  He was a retired dairy farmer, a graduate of West Virginia University, class of 1929 and a member of the Ohio-West Virginia Farm Bureau.  He was born Jan. 3, 1909 in Ripley, the son of the late John Edwin Carson and Jean Clifford Armstrong Carson.  Survivors include one brother, George A. Carson, West Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Mary Jo Riley, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held Saturday at Foglesong Funeral Home in Mason with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.   </p>
