  <p>Information: Willard Ray Carper, 71, of Ripley, died Thursday, August 1, 2002, from injuries received in an auto accident.  He was born April 28, 1931, at Amma, a son of the late Earl R. and Ollie Mae Hershberger Carper.  He was retired from Ravenswood Aluminum Company with 32 years of service and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union and a member of the Ripley Tabernacle Church.  He is survived by his wife, Ailene Devrick Carper; son, Kevin Ray Carper of Ripley; daughters, Dreama Robertson of Beckley and Debbie McKinney of Ripley; brother, Forrest Carper of Big Chimney; sisters, Ellen Jane Grubbs of Charleston, Libby Cook of Blanchester OH, Erlene Davis of Charleston, Wilma Carter of Elkview and Beulah Mae Hill of South Charletson; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Dale Carper.  Funeral services were held on Sunday at the Ripley Tabernacle Church with Pastors Mark Siers, Shannon Skeen and Scott Ranson officiating.  Burial at the Rocky Branch Cemetery, Roane County.</p>
