Information: CARPENTER RITES ARE HELD AT MT. ZION - Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie E. Carpenter, 69, of Reedy, who died at the home of her son, Willis Carpenter, Gay, at 3 p.m. Monday after an illness of five weeks were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. from Mt. Zion Methodist church, Calhoun county.  The Rev. Howard West and the Rev. Ezra Bennett officiated and interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery.  She was born in Roane county and was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist church in Calhoun county.  Mrs. Carpenter is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Ashley, Reedy, Route 3, Mrs. Myrtle Robinson, Weirton, Mrs. Pauline Parsons, Ripley, Mrs. Justine Rhodes, Liverpool, and Mrs. Oshel ? , Canton, Ohio; four sons, Chester D. , Steubenville, Ohio, Ross of Parkersburg, Willis D. of Gay, and Lace J. Carpenter of Barberton, Ohio; five brothers, Nestor and Floyd Whited of Palestine, James and Will of Gay and Lon of Walton; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Stalnaker and Mrs. Clara Harmon, both of Parkersburg and Mrs. Delphi Lawrence of Spencer; 40 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
