  <p>Information: H. Paige Carpenter, 71, of the Evergreen Hills community, Cottageville, departed this life, Saturday, February 16, 2002, in CAMC General Division, following a brief illness.  He was born August 29, 1930 in Reedsville OH, a son of the late James and Flora Mowrey Carpenter.  He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Ravenswood Aluminum Corporation with 30 years of service, and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union #5668.  He was a life member of the Jackson County Marine Corps League #1065, and attended the Ripley Tabernacle Church.  Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Helen Marie Snider Carpenter; daughters, Faith Ann Holbert and husband, Sherwood, Susan Lynn Querrey and husband, Bryon, and Patti Paige Curtiss and husband, Curt, all of Ripley; sister, Hilda Ingram of Fairmont; and grandchildren, Whitney Dawn Holbert, John Paige Bunner, and Bryon Scott Querrey.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Carpenter and Earl Carpenter. Services were held Tuesday at Casto Funeral Home in Evans with the Rev. Mark Siers officiating.  Burial in Jackson County Memory Gardens, near Cottageville, with military honors by Jackson County Veteran&#39;s organizations.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.</p>
