Information: Funeral services were held at the Chambers Funeral Home in Ravenswood for Bruce D. Carpenter, 51, of Cleveland, who died suddenly in Lakewood Hospital Aptil 30 following surgery.  Burial was in Glenview Cemetery at East Palestine, Ohio.  He was born in Ravenswood, April 24, 1921, son of James S. Carpenter and the late Rhoda McCoy Carpenter Hofmann.  He was a machinist with Penn Central Railroad of Cleveland.  He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre under Gen. Mark Clark in the 88th ""Blue Devil"" Div., 350th infantry.  In addition to his father, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eleanor (Ungaro) Carpenter; one son, Steven, at home; and a brother, Charles Aubrey Carpenter, of Lakewood, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev. Harvey M. and Nancy P. McCoy, both long-time residents of Ravenswood.
