  <p>Information: Mrs. Alcie Oma Carpenter, 79,of Clendenin Rt. 4, died Monday in the Riverside Nursing Home after a long illness.  A brother, Herbert Schoolcraft, resides in the Evans community.  Other survivors: daughters, Mrs. Westie Kearse of Clendenin, Mrs. Laura Jarrett and Mrs. Lydia Carte of Charleston; son, Lewis Carpenter of Alliance, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Nellie Byrd and Mrs. Edith Durvin of Charleston; brothers, Lloyd, Carl, George and Alpheus Schoolcraft of Clendenin  Service will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the Fairview Baptist Church at Clendenin Rt. 4, with the Rev. Ray Pete Jones officiating.  Burial will be in the Canterbury Cemetery at Clendenin Rt. 4.   </p>
