  <p>Information: Mary M. Rhodes Carney, daughter of Emmett M. and Rebecca J. Rhodes, was born April 22, 1897 and departed this life June 1, 1936, aged 39 years, 1 month and 9 days.  She was united in marriage to Willie O. Carney sixteen years ago and to this union was born three children.  She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, Willie O. Carney; two sons, Kenneth and Henry Carney; one daughter, Mildred Carney, all of Ripley; her parents, Emmett M. and Rebecca J. Rhodes of Harmony; nine sisters, Mrs. Ocie Starcher of Ripley, Mrs. Vergie Nester of Amma, Mrs. Delsie Ludwig of East Liverpool, Ohio, Mrs. Alcie Geiogue of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Naomi Westfall of Sycamore, Ohio, Mrs. Maysell Droddy of Clendenin, Mrs. Sarah Fields of Harmony, Mrs. Alma Raines and Mrs. Cora Taylor, both of Harmony.  One sister, Elva, and one brother, Howard, preceded her in death several years ago. She leaves a host of friends and other relatives.  The funeral services were held on Wednesday morning and burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.  [from the Betty Kessel McIntyre collection]</p>
