Information: Mabel Clare (Cunningham) Landfried Carney, 100, of Ripley, passed away July 6, 2010. She was born August 3, 1909, in Ripley, and was a daughter of the late Okey J. and Martha B. (Merical) Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Cleophas D. Landfried and William O. Carney; son, Cecil L. Landfried; daughter, Margaret Waugh; brothers, Warren Cunningham and Okey J. Cunningham; and sisters, Hazel Hanning and Mary Casto. She was a retired cook from Ripley High School with 19 years of service. She was a member of Mill Creek Valley Homemakers Club and the Rebekah Lodge of Ripley and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a member of the Centennial Church and faithfully attended church services at Eldercare of Ripley. Survivors include her son and his wife, Cleophas Edward ""Red"" and Audrey Landfried of Ripley; daughter and her husband, Dorothy B. and Clair Moore of Ripley; grandchildren and their spouses, Rebecca and Jack Blackwell of Bradenton, FL, Philip and Paul Landfried of Odessa, Texas, Teresa and Stephen Eagle of Leroy, Mary Lea and Andy Conger of Sandyville and Gregory and Marty Moore and Cindi and James McDaniel, all of Ripley; great-grandchildren, Lori and Joe Hayes, Derek Eagle, Tori Eagle, Brittany and Jeremy Oldaker, Michael Conger, Cassie and Nicki Landfried, Lori Marie Landfried, Mickey and Butch Casto and Ashton Moore; and great-great-grandchildren, Emily, Adam and Luke Hayes. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Bud McVey officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
