  <p>Information: GIVEN - Linnie B. Carney, 97, of Given, Jackson County, died May 16, 1998, in Millwood after a long illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and was a member of Kenna United Brethren Church.  Surviving:  sons, Harold of Colorado Springs, Colo., Darrell of Given, R. D. of Cottageville, Willard of Millwood; daughters, Velmada Williams of Millwood, Willa Jean Holderman of Louisville, Ohio, Betty Carney of Given, Mary Jane Barnette of Evans; sister, Gladys Reed of Liberty; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one step-great-grandchild.  Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. David Sanderson officiating.  Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, W. Va. 25064.</p>
