  <p>Information: Arlie Roy Carney, 73, of Given, died Nov. 14, 1990, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, after a long illness.  He was a retired construction worker and farmer.  He was a member of Local Labor Union 1085 and was an Army veteran of World War II.  Surviving:  wife, Margaret Hunter Carney; son, Gary Lee of Given; daughters, Teresa Counts of Given, Charlotte Richardson of Grove City, Ohio, Wilma Barnett of Rockcastle; sister, Cintilla Barnett of Rockcastle, Opal Riffee of Dunbar; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.  Service was Saturday at Moss Chapel Church, Jackson County, with the Rev. Dan Stepp officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, was in charge.</p>
