Information: Mrs. Alice Carney, the wife of Rev. J. I. Carney, was born March 20, 1868, departed this life October 31, 1936, age 68 years, 7 months and 11 days.  She was united in marriage to Rev. J. I. Carney on May 26, 1904.  She was converted when she was 13 years of age and lived a consistent christian life until death.  She was the daughter of Christman and Elizabeth Harrison.  She leaves to mourn their loss four brothers, Elben Harrison, Minor Harrison and Tom Harrison, all of Dog Fork, and Al Harrison, of Ripley; three step-sons, Ret, Gillespie and Ed Carney, and a host of relatives and friends.  The funeral services were held at the Rock Springs church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. W. Garrison in charge.  Burial was in the Rock Springs cemetery.   [from the Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
