Information:  Fred CARMICHAEL                  Funeral services were held at Silverton Sunday afternoon for Fred CARMICHAEL, 56 year old resident of the community, who died Thursday at the Veterans Hospital in Huntington where he had been a patient only a short time.  He was one of the school bus drivers of the county.  Rev. V. F. WILLIAMS officiated at the service and the Abels-Rayburn American Legion Post conducted their ritualistic service at the grave site in the Independence Cemetery at Sandyville.  Mr. CARMICHAEL was a member of the Ravenswood American Legion Post, was born August 13, 1892, and was a son of the late M. C. CARMICHAEL and Mrs. Belle CARMICHAEL of Silverton.               He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beulah CARMICHAEL; five children, Robert Milton CARMICHAEL of Morgantown, Miss Betty Muriel CARMICHAEL of Charleston, Mrs. Frankie Irene HUTCHINS of Piney Point, Maryland, and Miss Mary Elizabeth and William Frederick CARMICHAEL, both at home; five brothers, Emmitt of Canton, Ohio, Roy of Steubenville, Ohio, and Harvey and Ferguson CARMICHAEL, both of Sandyville; four sisters, Mrs. Dessie BOSO of Parkersburg, Mrs. Mary WISEMAN and Mrs. Mabel KIBBLE, both of Sandyville and Mrs. Ida STANLEY of Ravenswood.  One grandchild also survives.  ( (From the Betty Kessel McIntyre Obit Collection)
