  <p>Information: Emmett Carmichael, father of J. R. Carmichael, died a his home in Sandyville Tuesday.  Funeral services were held this morning at the Silverton Church and burial was made in the nearby cemetery.  Mr. Carmichael was 68 years old.         Emmett Carmichael, son of David L. and Nancy Carmichael, was born July 8, 1863, died Mar. 6, 1934.  In 1881 he was united in marriage with Iva O. Davis, who died January 15, 1930 and on Nov. 24, 1932, he was again married to Mrs. Alice Finch of Parkersburg, W. Va.  He is survived by the widow, two sons, John R. of Ravenswood and David L. of Sandyville; three brothers, J. M. of Silverton, M. C. of Sandyville and W. B. of Ravenswood; several grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  One son, Charles V. preceded him in death.  The funeral services where held in the Silverton U. B. Church, conducted by Rev. J. R. Withrow assisted by Rev. Swain.</p>
