Information: BRIEF ILLNESS PROVES FATAL - David Lee Carmichael, long time resident of Silverton who had lived in Belpre for the past few years, died suddenly Thursday night at the St. Joseph's hospital within just a short time after he had been admitted.  He was 63 years of age. He had been associated with his brother, John R. Carmichael, in the operation of the Carmichael Monument Works which moved from Ravenswood to Parkersburg some time ago.  He was born in Jackson county Feb. 28, 1893, the son of the late Emmett and Iva Davis Carmichael, and was employed in the Carmichael Monument Works in Parkersburg.  He belonged to the Evangelical United Brethren church in Silverton, Jackson county, was a veteran of the first World War, and was a member of the National Guard of Ravenswood.  His death was attributed to a heart attack.  He leaves his widow, Neta; four daughters, Mrs. C. L. Schiefer, Bucyrus, Ohio, Mrs. Brady Hickle, Ripley, Mrs. Max Britton, Vienna, and Mrs. William Mulligan, Jr., Belpre, Ohio, as well as four sons, David Lee, Jr., Silverton, Denver, Charleston, Charles, Belpre, and Warren, Vienna.  One son, Robert G. Carmichael, preceded him in death.  Funeral services were held at the Silverton E. U. B. church on Sunday afternoon and the burial was in the Ravenswood cemetery.
