Information: Charles V. (Tod) Carmichael, 88, of Belpre, Ohio, died at the St. Joseph Campus of the Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born January 29, 1924 at Silverton WV and was the son of the late David L. and Neta Divers Carmichael. He graduated from Ravenswood High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post #15 in Parkersburg. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge. He had the Carmichael Monument Company for twenty years, and retired from Borg Warner after 23 years of service on February 1, 1986. He loved NASCAR, baseball, camping, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Maudeline Staats Carmichael; a son, Daniel (Anita) Carmichael of Belpre; two daughters, Kay (Mac) McMullen of Belpre, Charlene ""Pete"" (Mike) Seevers of Reno, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey, Benjamin, Christopher, Summer & Amber Carmichael, Robbie and Suzanne George and Cory and Breanna Seevers; five great-grandchildren, Makayla, Megan, Logan, Leah, and Zane. Also surviving are his brother, Warren Carmichael of Sun City West AZ, Mary Britton of Vienna WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Denver, David, and Robert Carmichael, and three sisters, Ila Schiefer, Betty Jo Mulligan and Juanita Bruestle. Services will be Sunday at 2 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Gary Schiefer officiating. Post #15 of the American Legion will conduct military rites.
