Information: Beulah Mayhall Carmichael, 89, of Flatwoods Road, Ravenswood, died Monday at her home after an extended illness. She was the mother of Delegate William Carmichael of Ripley. She was born in Wetzel County, a daughter of the late Robert Wiley and Anna Jane Fluharty Mayhall. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Ravenswood, the American Legion Post No. 118, Ladies Auxiliary and the Navy Mothers Club. She was a former teacher in Marion and Jackson County and a former cook in the Jackson County school system. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Gorrell of Sandyville, Frankie Hutchins of Ripley and Elizabeth Curry of Flatwoods Road; two sons, Robert M. of Dayton, O., and William of Ripley; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C.; by one grandchild; one great-grandchild; two sisters and two brothers. A service was scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Ravenswood First Christian Church with Evangelists Early Bailey and Rudy Orth officiating. Burial was to follow in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
