  <p>Information: Robert U. Cariens, 87, Parkersburg, died last Tuesday evening at Worthington Manor Care Center.  Cariens was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Ulysses and Rosella Flowers Cariens.  He was a retired brakeman with the B & O Railroad and was a Methodist by faith.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Betty) Summers of Marietta; three sisters, Marjorie Perry of Cadiz, Ohio, Mary Carmichael of Ravenswood and Pearl Beasley of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Cariens, March 29, 1986; by two brothers and two sisters.  Services were held at Ogdin Funeral Home, Parkersburg with the Rev. Roger L. Smith officiating.  Burial was Friday in Clover Cemetery, Spencer.</p>
