  <p>Information: Mrs. Alice Mae Gilbert Caldwell, 70, of Swiss, Nicholas County, died Aug. 28 in Montgomery General Hospital after a long illness.  She was the mother of Daniel Caldwell Sr., of Ravenswood.  She was a member of the Swiss Montgomery Baptist Church.  Others surviving include another son, Richard A. Caldwell at home; daughter, Mrs. Patricia Bates of Swiss; brothers, Frank Pete Gilbert of Swiss, Arch and Jack Gilbert both of Charleston; sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Woods and Mrs. Edith Cressorn both of Swiss, Mrs. Esther Strader, of Charleston; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  A service was held Aug. 30 at 1 p.m. in Swiss Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Drennen officiating.  Burial was in Zoar Cemetery, Keslers Cross Lanes.  Combs-Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge was in charge of arrangements.</p>
