Information: CADLE RITES AT OTTERBEIN - Mrs. Carmelita C. Cadle, a mathematics teacher at South Charleston Junior High School for 14 years, died Friday. Mrs. Cadle, 63, of Cross Lanes, died in Charleston Memorial Hospital. She was born at Evans, a daughter of Charles and Marguerite Sayre Cunningham. She formerly lived in Ripley. She taught school at Wahama High School in Mason County and Hurricane High School. She also taught at elementary schools in Jackson, Mason and Lincoln counties. She was a graduate of Ravenswood High School and Salem College. Mrs. Cadle was recognized nationally for her skill in curve-stichery. Prior to this year she had participated in every West Virginia Artists' and Craftsmen's Fair, where she exhibited hand-sculptured doll heads. She was a member of the Kanawha County Council for Retarded Children and the West Virginia Allied Artists' and Craftsmen's Guild. Surviving are her husband, Park A. Cadle; sons, Bernard of Nitro and Robert of Lexington, Ky.; brothers, I. V., W. B., and Kelly Cunningham, all of Charleston and Charles Cunningham of Evans; and sisters, Mrs. Charldean Hutchison of Evans and Mrs. Kathleen Mann of Ripley. Service was held Sunday at Otterbein Church at Evans. The Rev. Elizabeth Caudill officiated. Burial was in Otterbein Cemetery in Evans.
