Information: Roscoe Glenn Busch, a driller on the Hill well near Kenna, was killed when a bull rope broke and struck the man in the chest. He died instantly, it was reported. Busch was a native of Calhoun County buy had lived in Ritchie County for some time and had been in Jackson County for several months where he had been employed in the Oriskany sand gas field. Fellow workers explained that the bull rope, which goes over the big wheel of the drilling equipment, snapped and in doing so struck Busch, who was a young man, in the chest with the result that it was badly crushed and his life was snuffed out immediately. The body was brought to the Vail mortuary in Ripley where it remanind awaiting the arrival of the widow, who, before her marriage was Miss Rebecca Jane Maze, and other relatives from Calhoun and Ritchie Counties.
