  <p>Information: Carl Burnem, 76 of Ravenswood, formerly of Dunbar died Thursday, April 27, 1989 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley after a short illness.  Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Fred and Iva Casto Burnem.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ravenswood.  He was retired from Alleghaney True Temper in Saybrook, Ohio.  Surviving: wife, Louise Cooke Burns Burnem of Ravenswood; daughters, Norita Spradling of Charleston, Loretta Rose of Mobile, Ala., Gale Oxendine of Wilmington, N.C.; stepson, Gary Lee Burns of Newark, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.  Service was held at Calvary Baptist Church, Ravenswood with the Rev. Kent Lowther officiating.  Burial was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.  Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood was in charge of arrangements.</p>
