  <p>Information: Okel Burgess, 81, First Avenue, Ripley, died Thursday at CAMC General Division.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late James and Lenore Griffith Burgess.  He was a former employee of Cabot Gas.  He is survived by four sons, Natchie Burgess of St. Albans, Gordon Burgess of Dalton, Ohio, Roger Burgess of Cottageville, and Louie Burgess of Ripley; six daughters, Edna Boner of Kenna, Juanita Randolph of Charleston, Judy Burdette of Marmet, Brends Stump of Birch River, Connie Jordan of Hammond, Ind. and Libby Beegle of Cottageville; one brother, Harold Burgess of Sissonville; two sisters, Hattie Jones of Pennsboro and Lilly Gibson; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Services were Sunday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley with the Rev. Charlie Payne officiating.  Burial was in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Sissonville.</p>
