Information: Funeral Mass for Cyrus R. (Bud) Burdette, 83, of Parkersburg, was celebrated at noon Saturday, Sept. 14, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph O'Reilly, celebrant.  Mr. Burdette, who died Thursday, Sept. 12, at St. Joseph's Hospital, was buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Burdette and Lindsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Born in Jackson County, he was a World War I Army veteran and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and World War I Barracks here.  He was graduated from Mountain State College in 1908 and had been a bookkeeper with Shattuck & Jackson Wholesale Grocery and Dana Wholesale Grocery Co.  Mr. Burdette also had been employed with Winthrop & Mitchell Stock Exchange Co. and prior to his retirement with Travelers Insurance Co. He was married to Florence Nightingale on March 22, 1918, and they had celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Acors of Little Hocking; one son, C. Richard, Jr. of Parkersburg; one brother, Mark L. of Nokomis, Fla.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
