  <p>Information: ELIZABETH - Carroll H. Burdette, Sr., 72, of Elizabeth, died Aug. 2, 1996, at Ohio State University Medical Center.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member of the Ravenswood Odd Fellows, Masonic Lodge and the Sandyville VFW.  He was retired from the Parkersburg News with 29 years&#39; service.  He was a member of the board of directors of Little Kanawha Estates.  Surviving:  wife, Virginia Harpold; father, Guy of Marshall; son, Carroll Jr. of Medina; brother, John of Fairplain; sister, Ruby Carney of Charleston; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.  Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Eugene Waybright and the Rev. Orland Reynolds officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Spencer Road.  Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.</p>
