  <p>Information: Clarence W. ""Bill"" Buffington, 58 of Ravenswood, died Thursday at the Jackson General Hospital, Ripley following an extended illness.  He was born in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late Canden P. and Lillian Cofield Buffington.  He was a member of the Ravenswood First United Methodist Church, a supervisor for Ravenswood Maintenance Department, a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy, formerly a business owner in Ravenswood.  He is survived by his wife, Emmogene Stephens Buffington of Ravenswood; two sons, Randal Lee Buffington of Ravenswood and Stephen Buffington of Ripley; one daugher, Lori Buffington Nay of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Gene E. Buffington of Parkersburg; one sister, Kay Buffington Rogers of Scottsdale, Arizona; three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother.  Services were Sunday at the Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood with the Rev. Sam Starling officiating.  Burial was in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
