  <p>Information: 10/11/1940    	Samuel Jackson Buchanan, age 79 years, died at his home on Turkey Fork Tuesday evening following an illness of one year.  He was born July 5, 1861 in Wood County and was one of the oldest farmers in that section.  He departed this life Oct 1, 1940.  Surviving are eight children, Charley, Lafe, William, Walker, Edgar, Amanda Springborn, and Elma Richmond, and a brother, Lafayette Buchanan.  Funeral services were held at 2 o&#39;clock Thursday afternoon at the Ludwig Church, with interment in the cemetery there.     	10/18/1940    	Samuel Jackson Buchanan was united in marriage to Sarah Angus.  To this union five children were born, Charles, Lafayette, William, Louise, and Wayne, the latter being deceased.  Some years later he married Mary Grady and to this union eight children were born, Edgar, Walker, Perry, and Amanda and three deceased.  Later in life he married Louise Adkins.</p>
