Information: The Rev. Ervin Warren Anderson of Pocatalico died in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Kanawha County, he was an ordained minister and had served as pastor and helped organize several missionary Baptist Churches including New Prospect, Middle Ridge, Hopewell, Walker Chapel, Goshen, Sugar Creek and Davis Memorial Missionary Baptist Church where he had been serving as pastor for 31 years. He was a retired foreman for Tru-Temper Corp. with 49 years' service. He was a member of Junior Order of United American Mechanics. Surviving; wife, Irene Thaxton Anderson; sons, Daniel of Pocatalico and William ""Sonny"" of Martins Branch; sister, Lelia Casdorph of Charleston; brothers, Odie Robert and Gove all of Charleston; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Service was held at Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Denver Fields and Rev. Robert Fields officiating. Burial was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens with Long-Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico, in charge.
