Information: Wallace R. ""Sonny"" Brown, 75, of Ripley, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Parkersburg. He was born Oct. 13, 1929, at Logan, a son of the late L.C. and Edna Puckett Brown. He was former owner of the Village Cafeteria, The Daniel Boone Restaurant and Sonny's Drive Inn, all of Ripley and the ""Y"" Restaurant at Sandyville. He attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Ripley and was a U.S. Army veteran and U.S. Air Force Reserve veteran. ""Sony"" was also a member of the Ripley Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 16 and a member of the American Legion Post 107. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen R. Schallom of Ripley and Tina Robinson of Gaston, S.C.; a brother, Keith Brown of Clendenin; and three grandchildren, Tyler Owen Smith, Breeze Allanah Schalom and Tara Lark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight ""Red"" Brown. There will be a visitation from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2004, at the Salt Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
