Information: Funeral services were held Saturday at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley for Mrs. Mary Jane Brown, 74 of Given who died Thursday in Jackson General Hospital.  The Rev. Hermon Gandee officiated and burial was in the Brown Cemetery at Given.  Born in Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Amanda Alderman Parsons.  She was a member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.  She is survived by three sons, Carroll of Given, Clifford of St. Albans and James M. of Hurricane; one brother, Roy Parsons of Kenna and six grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown.
