Information:   Tommy Wayne Brotherton, 63, of Holden, formerly of Given, died Nov. 10,1999, in Baptist Regional Medical Center, Lexington, KY, after a long illness. He was born June 29,1936 in Jack­son County, son of the late Clinton and Hattie Rhodes Brotherton. He was a retired heavy equipment operator; member of Local union 132, and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and a former member of Central United Baptist Church. He attended Duncan Fork House of Prayer at Myrtle, WV. Surviving: wife, Lucille Ooten Brotherton of Holden; daughter, Johnna Farmer of Given; sister, Pauline Brotherton of Given; broth­ers, Robert (Inez) of Given, Gratton of Coral Springs, FL; five step grand­children, Tammy (Terry) Whitt and Mike (Tammy) Hubert all of Myrtle, WV, Scott (Lisa) Hubert of Holden, Sandy (Jamie) Farley of Norwalk, OH, and Ashley Ooten at home; nine grand­children; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (today), at Duncan Fork House of Prayer at Duncan Fork, Mingo County, with the Rev. Glenn White Jr. and the Rev. Dennie Evans officiating. Burial will be in Given Cemetery. Honaker Funeral Home, Logan, is in charge of arrangements.
