  <p>Information: Carrol Edwin Shockey, 74, of Ravenswood, died May 31, 1999 at his home.  He was born in Ravenswood, the son of the late Everette and Edna Rardon Shockey.  He was a World War II veteran serving under George Patton-European Theatre.  Also Occupational Forces of Germany; retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood; a member of the U. B. Methodist Church.  He also was a farmer.  Surviving:  wife, Althea Smith Shockey of Ravenswood; two sons, Dr. Paul E. Shockey and C. Olin Shockey, both of Ravenswood; one daughter, Helen Shockey Taylor of Ravenswood; one brother, John E. Shockey of Fairborn OH; two sisters, Catherine Bourgeois of Santee SC and Jaunita Harris of Yellow Springs OH; seven grandchildren, Erin Lynn 
Shockey, Todd E. Shockey, Joseph P. Shockey, Daniel D. Shockey, Julie Shockey, Matthew Taylor and Mark J. Taylor; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today (Wednesday), June 2, 1999 at 11 am at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Paul Morrison officiating.  Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood.</p>
