  <p>Information: Russell Clayton Kerns, 76 of Ravenswood died Jan. 23, 1993 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley after a long illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a member of North United Methodist Church, Ravenswood.  He was a member of VFW and was retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 21 years' service.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  Surviving: wife, Edith Casto Kerns; daughter, Joan McCune of Ravenswood; son, John "Rusty" of Mineral Wells; brother, Ace of Liverpool; five grancdhildren.  Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at North United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood.</p>
