  <p>Information: Edward "Max" Murray, 89 of Route 1, Liverpool died Wednesday at home after a long illness.  He was a veteran of World War I.  He was a retired teacher with more than 40 years' service.  Surviving: wife, Myrtle; sons, Jim of Parkersburg, Charles of Ripley, Rex of St. Albans; daughters, Mrs. Janet Wilson and Mrs. Lela Anderson both of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Beryl Bowen of Arlington, Va; sisters, Mrs. Lenora Javins of Charleston, Mrs. Jessie Shaffer of Wytheville, Va.; 11 grandchilden; six great-grandchildren.  Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Vail Funeral Home, Ripley with the Rev. Orland Reynolds officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Roane county.  Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. </p>
