Information: Thelma Jorda, 86 formerly of Palestine died March 11, 1988 at the home of a grandson in Flat Gap, Ky., following a long illness. She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Lynn and Mary Jane Davis Mullinex. She had worked at the American Viscose Corp. and later was a nurse's aide and county health aide for Wirt County. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church and the Wirt Chapter No. 113, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by two sons, Wilson J. Rhodes of Palestine and Morris Keith Rhodes of Parkersburg; one daughter, Justine Haddle of Salineville, Ohio; one sister, Grace Kirkpatrick of Frozen Camp; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Jordan; one brother, six sisters and two grandsons. Services were Monday at the Bethesda Baptist Church with the Rev. David F. Morris and the Rev. Dean Ash officiating. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery, Thorn Addition. Matheny Funeral Home, Elizabeth was in charge of arrangements.
