  <p>Information: Walter Herman Lewis, 82 of Sandyville died March 21, 1995 at Jackson General Hospital after a short illness.  He was a former carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local NO.899.  Surviving: wife, Josephine Lewis; son, Bobby of Leroy; brothers, James and Willard, both of Gretna, Va.; sisters, Pauline Smith of Roanoke, Va., Margaret Horne and Louise Lowe, both of Maryland, Laura Ingram of Newport News, Va., Elaife Jones and Ruth Shelton both of Gretna; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley with the Rev. Amos McVey officiating.  Burial will be in Independent Cemetery, Sandyville.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.</p>
