Information: Wayne Anderson, 86, of Ripley, passed away February 21, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital after a long illness. Wayne was born Edwin Dewain Anderson on September 9, 1928 in Gay WV to the late Elza and Bessie Tolley Anderson.  He was a member of the Parchment Valley Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and in many other areas.  He served in the US Army.  He was in the Korean Conflict where he served as a Sargent and Tank Commander.  Wayne was a retiree of Ravenswood Aluminum in the Casting Department.  He also drove a gasoline truck for R. E. Staats Esso Distributor and Straley Gas Service.  He enjoyed working on his farm, tending to his cattle, hay and other farming activities.  He was always lending a helping hand to others whatever the need.      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Junior T. and Laco Anderson, and sister, Olevia Kidd.  He will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Wilma E. Stalnaker Anderson and his children, Debbie, David and Dale and his wife, Melody, and his grandchildren, Austin and Breona; brother, Larry (Frances) Anderson of Parkersburg; sisters, Shirley (Fisher) Hunt and Brenda (Randy) Mobley of Ripley.  Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastors Herman Robinson and Bob Keen officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery, Ripley.  Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm (today) Tuesday at the funeral home.  If you wish to make a donation in memory of Wayne, the family suggests either the Parchment Valley Baptist Church Snak Pak Ministry or Millcreek Baptist Church Building Fund.
