Information: Carl Lee Reynolds, 67 of 108 South View Drive, Elkins, WV died at his home Saturday morning, July 7, 1990. He was born in Roane county, a son of the late Gilbert Roy and Fredah Stine Reynolds. He was a World War II veteran, carrying a fully automatic sub-machine gun in the 85th Infantry Division under Gen. Mark W. Clark in the Rome-Arno campaign and also in the campaign of the North Apennines Mountains where he was wounded. He received the European Africa Middle Eastern Campaign medal with two bronze stars. He also received the Marksman Badge; Expert Rifle Bar; the Combat Infantry Medal; a Good Conduct Medal and the Distinquished Service Medal. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the Elkins Goff Street Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beulah Pickens Reynolds; one daughter, The Rev. Violet Reynolds at home; one sister, Marjorie Yoak of Spencer. He was preceded in death by one brother, William T. Reynolds. Services were held Tuesday at the Ogdin Funeral Home with Evangelist Skip Andrews officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
