Information: RIPLEY - Claude S. McClain, 76 of Ripley died Aug. 2, 1994 at Ravenswood Care Center after a long illness. He was a retired mail carrier with 25 years' service and a farmer. Surviving: brothers, Chester of Ripley, Ernest of Massillon, Ohio, Orin of Cottageville; sisters, Ivy Tolley of Cortland, Ohio, Dorothy Harpold and Bonnie DeWees, both of Ripley, Lorene Lupardus of Harmony; half sister, Eva Clark of Parkersburg. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Aplin Church, Aplin Ridge, Jackson County with the Rev. Wayne Hinzman officiating. Burial will be in Aplin Cemetery, Jackson County. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.
