Information: SERVICES HELD FOR EX-R'WOOD DRUGSTORE OWNER - A former Ravenswood pharmacist and drugstore owner, Edward (Ned) Maloney, died Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla. of an apparent heart attack. Maloney and his family moved from Ravenswood nine years ago to St. Petersburg. The former Ravenswood businessman owned and operated the Maloney Pharmacy in the Ravenswood Shopping Center, prior to selling it to Alan Reynolds. The business is now operated by Rite Aid. He was born in West Virginia, graduated from the University of Florida, and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Christine; sons, Andrew J. of Dade City, Fla., Michael M., Edward L. Jr., and Paul Daniel, all of St. Petersburg; daughter, Necia, at home; brothers, Charles of Charleston and Robert F. of Melbourne, Fla. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) in the Thomas J. Brett Funeral Home, St. Petersburg. A Memorial Mass was held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Cathedral of St. Jude in St. Petersburg.
