Information: Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Liverpool United Methodist Church for Ronald R. Smith, 52, of Liverpool who died Thursday evening in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. The Rev. DeWitt Harris will officiate with burial to be in Liverpool Cemetery. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Sandyville VFW, Merchants of Liverpool and the Liverpool Church. He was born in Roane County, son of Bud C. and the late Mable Hoskins Smith. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Smith; a son Darrel G. Smith of Parkersburg; five daughters, Mrs. Keith Hill, Sandyville, Mrs. David Wade, Parkersburg, Mrs. Joseph Cross, Belpre, OH, Mrs. Bob Smitherman, Charlotte, NC, Miss Melody Smith of Liverpool; six brothers, Charles, Bob and Bill Smith, all of Parkersburg, Dr. Rossing Smith of Charleston, Paul Smith of Ripley and Buddy Joe Smith of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Bud Thirouin, Parkersburg and Mrs. Diane Gannon, of Plattsburg, NY; his father and step-mother Bud and Tillie Smith of Cairo; and 11 grandchildren. Friends may call at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
