Information: Funeral services for Thomas Jefferson Mitchell, son of Marshall and Cordelia Mitchell, were held at the Mill Creek Baptist Church on April 1, 1951, at 2 o'clock. Services were conducted by the Rev. Lige Warren and arrangements by the Parsons Funeral Home. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was born April 30, 1868 and departed this life on March 29, 1951, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 9 days. Early in life he joined the Baptist Church. In the year 1887 he was united in marriage to Martha Belle Parrish. To this union were born five children: Mrs. Dollie Gatten of Ohio, William Mitchell, Mrs. Delia Milhoan, Mrs. Minnie Hall, all of Liverpool, and Roy Mitchell of Ripley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Belle Mitchell, who passed away on January 13, 1951. He is survived by five children, 33 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
