Information: MRS SAYRE DIES AT HOME TUESDAY - Mrs. Edna Lewis Sayre, 86, of 301 Walnut St., Ravenswood, died at her home in Ravenswood, Tuesday, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 21, 1883 in the Parchment Valley area of Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late James M. and Mannie Lewis, and was married Dec. 25, 1903 to David F. Sayre, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Sayre was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley, and the Ravenswood Navy Mother's Club. Survivors include one daughter, Hilda Sayre, Ravenswood; one son, Gerald Sayre, Ripley; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Aljeo, and Mrs. Aleeta Stewart, both of Pittsburg, Pa., and one brother, Charles C. Lewis of Evans. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm tomorrow at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Evans, with the Rev. D. Keith Clarke officiating. Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church tomorrow one hour prior to the services. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Heart Fund. The Casto Funeral Home at Evans is in charge of arrangements.
