Information: Funeral services for Roy Ray Brannon, 70, of Given, Rt. 1, in Jackson County, who died Tuesday in the Jackson General Hospital after a long illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Emma Chapel Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Rev. Jack McCloud and the Rev. Basil Hensley officiating. Born in Rosedale, he was the son of the late French and Millie Hawkins Brannon and a retired Union Carbide employee. He was a World War I Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Gay Brannon; four sons, Kermit Eugene and James Lee Brannon both of Given, Francis Edward Brannon, Los Angeles and Larry Thomas Brannon, Nitro; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Kathleen Lucas, East Liverpool, O.; six brothers, Oak and Oscar Brannon both of Parkersburg, Pearl Brannon, Belpre, Burke Brannon, St. Albans, Park Brannon, Gassaway, and Paul Brannon, Warren, O.; three sisters, Mrs. Ivy Scott, Mrs. Edna Reed and Mrs. Mary Carr all of Warren, O.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Vail Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
